FileConverter License Terms

These FileConverter License Terms govern the FileConverter desktop application, its free-use allowance, one-time purchase, license keys, downloads, and updates supplied by Nunuworks, Inc. They are version 2026-08-03-v2.

By downloading or using FileConverter, starting Checkout, expressly requesting immediate delivery of digital license keys, or entering a license key, you agree to these Terms and the FileConverter Privacy Policy. If applicable law gives you a non-waivable right that conflicts with these Terms, that right continues to apply.

FileConverter is intended for adults and people legally able to enter this agreement. If you purchase for work, you confirm that you are authorized to make the purchase and use the software.

FileConverter can be downloaded and tried without an account, payment card, or reduced-quality mode. Free mode includes the first 10 successfully completed source-file conversions on an installation, followed by one successfully completed source-file conversion per local calendar day. Unused daily conversions do not carry forward.

One allowance unit means one source file whose complete validated result is successfully committed. A source that creates several output files still counts once. A failed, cancelled, refused, corrupt, unsupported, invalid, or unpublished result counts zero. A batch that exceeds the remaining allowance may be blocked before it starts rather than partially converted without clear consent.

The allowance is local and is not represented as tamper-proof. Nunuworks may improve reasonable anti-abuse protections, but free and licensed users receive the same supported formats, output quality, privacy behavior, and validation rules.

The advertised software-license price is US$19.99 one time, plus any applicable tax shown before payment. It is not a subscription. Stripe processes payment through its hosted Checkout page, and Nunuworks does not receive complete payment-card details.

After verified payment, Nunuworks emails three separately signed FileConverter license keys to the address supplied at checkout. A valid key removes the conversion allowance on the device where the user stores it. The key does not expire and FileConverter verifies it locally without a recurring account or license-server check.

One purchase grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use FileConverter for personal or commercial work on up to three of the purchaser's own or primarily used Mac or Windows computers.

This is an individual-purchaser license, not an enterprise, team, concurrent-user, shared-device-pool, or organization-wide license. Permission for the purchaser to use FileConverter in their own commercial work does not grant access to coworkers, staff, clients, or other people.

Nunuworks will keep improving FileConverter and send updates whenever possible. Every FileConverter update Nunuworks releases is included at no extra charge.

The license is version-independent: it includes every future FileConverter update and major version Nunuworks publicly releases, at no additional software-license charge. Nunuworks does not offer a separate paid major-upgrade path for this license.

This is not a promise that a particular update, format, feature, operating-system version, architecture, support period, or release date will exist. Nunuworks may change, remove, refuse, or replace a conversion route where quality, security, legal, platform, or dependency constraints require it. The app will not claim universal file support.

Before Checkout begins, the purchaser must expressly request immediate digital delivery of the three license keys and acknowledge that, where applicable, a statutory withdrawal right may end once delivery begins. The applicable Terms version and consent time are retained with the order record.

Stripe's payment receipt and Nunuworks' license-key email are separate messages. The purchaser is responsible for supplying an email address they can access and for checking spam or filtered folders. An eligible purchaser may request delivery of the same three keys again from the FileConverter recovery page or contact support.

A purchase is not fulfilled merely because a browser reaches a success page. Nunuworks issues keys only after its server verifies paid status, the exact FileConverter product and price, and the signed Stripe event or authoritative Checkout Session.

All sales are final except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Nunuworks does not offer discretionary refunds or exchanges for change of mind, infrequent use, failure to review published system requirements, or dissatisfaction after purchase. This policy does not limit any non-waivable right or remedy for a duplicate or unauthorized charge, failure to deliver the license keys, or software that is defective or materially not as described.

A full refund required by law, reversed payment, or lost charge dispute terminates the license and blocks future key delivery or recovery. Because keys verify offline, a key already stored on an offline device might remain technically usable; that does not continue the legal right to use it.

FileConverter supports only the exact source-to-target routes shown by the installed application after it inspects a selected source. Extensions and marketing examples are not guarantees that a particular file is valid, supported, lossless, or convertible.

The application is designed to keep source files unchanged, stage output separately, validate output before publication, disclose known material losses, and avoid silent overwrites. Users remain responsible for keeping backups, reviewing warnings and output, choosing suitable formats, and ensuring they have the right to process the files.

FileConverter must not be used to bypass passwords, encryption, access controls, digital rights management, intellectual-property rights, law, or another person's privacy.

Nunuworks and its licensors retain ownership of FileConverter, its code, interface, trademarks, documentation, update system, and license-signing system. These Terms grant a use license and do not sell the software or intellectual property.

FileConverter may include third-party open-source or redistributable components governed by their own notices and license terms. Those notices are supplied with the relevant package where required. The FileConverter license does not override rights granted under an applicable third-party license.

Feedback and suggestions may be used to improve FileConverter without payment or obligation, provided Nunuworks does not claim ownership of the user's files or confidential content.

Public availability, supported operating systems, architectures, routes, installers, updates, and support channels may change. Do not rely on FileConverter as the only copy of a file or as a guaranteed archival, legal, medical, safety, forensic, or regulatory tool.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FileConverter, its website, downloads, and updates are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Nunuworks disclaims implied warranties to the extent they may lawfully be disclaimed, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, error-free operation, and compatibility.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nunuworks and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost files, data, profits, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, or use arising from FileConverter.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nunuworks' aggregate liability arising from FileConverter or these Terms is limited to the amount paid for the FileConverter license giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or remedies that applicable law does not allow the parties to exclude or limit.

The license continues unless the purchaser violates these Terms, receives a full refund, reverses payment, loses a charge dispute, or applicable law otherwise ends it. On termination, the user must stop using FileConverter in licensed mode and remove the license keys from their devices.

Nunuworks may stop new downloads, key resends, or support where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, payment reversal, or violation of these Terms. Termination does not erase billing, tax, fraud-prevention, security, or legal records that Nunuworks must or may lawfully retain.

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. The courts located in Vancouver, British Columbia have jurisdiction unless applicable law requires another forum.

If any part is unenforceable, the remainder continues to the fullest extent permitted. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. Nunuworks may update these Terms for future purchases and software use as law and the product change; an existing paid license keeps the price and update entitlement stated at purchase.
